Thayir Sadham/ Curd rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • Yogur curd 1/2 cup
  • milk 1/4 cup
  • Cooked white rice 4 cups
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • urid dal 1 tsp
  • red whole chili 4
  • ginger shreded 1 tbsp
  • green chili 2
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves
  • salt 2 tsp
  • water for mixing if necessary


Method

  1. Here is Thayir Sadham recipe. In a large bowl mix the cooked rice with yogurt and milk. Mash them well. Add water for mixing if necessary when is too dry to mash
  2. Take a hollow frying pan. Pour oil and heat it
  3. Add the mustard seeds and urid dal
  4. When the mustard splutters add red chili, ginger, green chili and curry leaves
  5. Let it fry a bit and add the mixed rice to the pan
  6. Add salt and mix them well in the pan
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with lime pickle
