Karuvadu Kolambu Recipe

Ingredients

  • Karuvadu 6 pieces 1 inch size
  • Tomato 1
  • Onions 1
  • Garlic pods 6
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • chili powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 3 tsp
  • Tamarind paste 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 1 prig
  • Dry fish 6 pieces about 2 inches each
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • urid dal 1 tsp
  • water 1 cup
  • oil 4 tbsp to sauté


Method

  1. Here is Karuvadu Kolambu Recipe. Cut tomato and onions into small pieces
  2. Take a frying pan. Pour the oil and heat it
  3. Add mustard seeds and urid dal. Stir-fry until mustard pops then add curry leaves
  4. Add Cut tomato, onions, and garlic pieces. Fry till mashed well
  5. Add chili, coriander, turmeric and tamarind paste with little bit of water to wet and not get dried up
  6. Add the dry fish and add 1 cup of water.
  7. Bring it to a boil and add one or more cup of water. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes
  8. Serve hot with rice, idli, or dosai
