Potato Curd Fry Recipe

Tamil Recipes Potato Curd Fry is another side dish used for in combination with main courses like rice and sambar or chaptis and bread. It is also another tasty south Indian samayal and is more popular actually in the north than in the south though we also use it with different varieties and combinations.


  • Potato 2 cups
  • Onions 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Green chili 2
  • Ginger/garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves 1 prig
  • Corn flower ½ cup
  • Oil 3 tbsp


  1. For Potato Curd Fry Recipe first peel and ½ boil potatoes do not let it boil fully as you have to cook again with curd
  2. Add oil in a frying pan sauté the onions. Add now the ginger and garlic paste and fry them well
  3. Add all other ingredients and fry them together well
  4. You should add water slowly and in small quantities to the frying pan not to stick and also not to dry up
  5. Add the already boiled potato and cover the lid
  6. Now in another small cup mix the corn flower in cold water and stir well not to form any clumps
  7. The last item you should add slowly while stirring briskly is the corn flower already dissolved in water
  8. Now after the potatoes are fully cooked turn off the heat and serve it steaming hot
