Peerkanga Kothukari Poriyal Recipe

Tamil Recipes Peerkanga Kothukari Poriyal. This is a specialty of my mother from Madurai, Tamilnadu. The vegetable is available in Indian and sometimes Asian grocery stores in America. This is called Peerkangai or ridge gourd. You need to develop a taste for this vegetable because it is a bit slimy but tasty.

By adding ground beef or mutton you change the taste and make it to taste extra ordinary Tamil samayal of south Indian, as it combines the ground meat with this vegetable in an exceptionally tasty texture. Texture changes and also the taste as they both melt into each other and form an aroma if Tamil cooking so special and it just plays with your taste buds.
